Touche...but its still a great skill. And when your an Elf, why would you have an ego thats not a bow? And there are still plenty of other non-ego bows that still have great range.
Not saying Crash Shot is absolutely useless skill. It is a decent skill, but it isn't as overpowered as some people make it out to be. If I play as an elf, I would just Magnum/Range everything close range. Their Magnum is 0.5 seconds and range is 0.3 seconds. Pretty hard to compare Crash Shot loading times with Elf Magnum/Range loading times.

The problem with Crash Shot to winmill are the load/aiming times. Windmill loads in under a second, and hits instantly after that. Crash Shot... 2 second load, then about 3~8 seconds of aim time. If you miss, refire!
It's a great skill for sniping Offering, and other sacrificial circles in SMs. It won't move them out of the circle, so that's where it beats Winmill.
People need to stop comparing WM to Crash Shot.
Actually, if you want people to stop comparing WM to Crash Shot, examples of use of Crash Shot should be shown for dungeons where WM/melee isn't dominating. Yea, I seen it used in Offering with a Ego LLB, which is pretty nice.
However, for the other sacrificial circles, it seems to be pretty hard to control where the monsters far compared to WM/Smash. Not to mention, if you WM finish the monster in many of these circles, no monsters will attack you at all for a short time frame, giving yourself less aggroed monsters than Crash Shot during this period of time.

Crash Shot should be used at either long range or (preferably) while zero-shooting. You can spam it about as fast as Windmill after the initial attack. The aim speed should be negligible for Humans at close range or Elves under Final Shot.
Plus it doesn't cause ago and has a lengthy stun duration (repetition, repetition)
Crash Shot sort of combines windmill, thunder and blaze.
Edit: Thanks, Phunkie!
Zero Shot Crash Shot? Well, it is a two second load, and you going to putting yourself at risk. If you are a crossbow user, you probably can pull this off better since you can run while loading.
Lengthy Stun Duration? I would think Magnum has more of a lengthy stun duration then Crash Shot, especially if Crash Shot fragments were unable to hit anything else. Spam it as fast as WMing? Did you forget about the 2 seconds load + aim rate time? Don't forget that due to the nature of range, you can miss as well.
Elves under Final Shot would seem to do a lot better using Elf Range and Elf Magnum, which are both have far shorter loading time, and do much more damage.
Since you advocate it so much, you already have r5+ crash shot already right, and spamming it all the time?
