I've noticed that some weapons could be faster than another, but i'm not sure. Is there a base speed for different weapons of the same category?
Ex. Royal Guard Twin Spear vs Executioner, or Twin Veteran Longswords vs Twin Kobold Shortsword
(The length of the weapon affecting range makes me believe that there are speed differences when the weapon size is different, also the the fact that you can raise attack speed in enhancement, and the npc sell price discrepancy when comparing just the attack of the weapons )

As far as I know, the only thing that should affect attack speed is the character's height. And even then, not by much.

I believe length of the weapon could affect it.
Like how Fiona's Shortsword has a much shorter range but is faster than her Longswords.

Honestly, I haven't noticed anything.

I have not noticed anything either.
But my character is already as short as can be, so I probably am already at the fastest.
That is, if there is any change at all.

Yeah, I'm the shortest possible as well.

I remember someone went and timed Amaranths for max and min heights. Same weapon, he got about a .2 second difference, if I remember correctly.

I have barely noticed the difference between the range of weapons, let alone the speed. If someone told me the blood lancer had the same reach as a basic sword, I wouldn't be surprised. The actual hitboxes don't seem to extend nearly as far as the tips of the spears... and when it comes to swinging speed, I don't think I've noticed anything changing from the prologue mission to grinding all the way to max level.
I could just be a little slow myself though. :what:

An excerpt from an example weapon:
Quote from Twin Kobold Sword:
A pair of swords used by kobolds. They're shorter than normal swords, which allows for quick close range attacks.
Though it's anybody's guess.
