Why should I re-download Mabinogi?

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. Just take a break.

I play for fun and these are my own reasons.

- I like the party dungeoning system.
- Level, get more AP and get fun or useful skills (I like flame burst even though it's weak compared to Fireball. It's just fun to blast mildly powerful flames at monsters.)
- Playing instrument, because I sometimes arrange or write my own songs. I like playing other songs too. It was the thing that attracted me to Mabi to begin with.
- I find the cooking system interesting even though I'm not into cooking yet.

Seriously, Elsinore + Spirit Broad is ridiculous.

It's not that I don't enjoy the game, it's that, the game is dull. All I have to work on now are skills that will take a lot of time.

You could goof off some times. Like raise a random skill for the heck of it. Like when I boosted barrier spikes/water cannon/rain casting/frag.
I'm not really gonna use them all that often, but they were a neat diversion.

I have a character with Rank 1 Metaluragy. The reason I don't raise random skills is because I'm not at the point where I can. I have Rank 7 Windmill, which is a pain to raise without -CP gear due to my 990.50 at level 1. I NEED weaving for enchants(because I use a bow). Crit because well... Bow != Good without a good crit.

*Yes, Mari is the "best" server.

If you havent messed with alchemy you havent lived. Frozen blast being one of the more fun ones, life drain, flamer, summon, Barrier. There all the best. Crash shot is pretty beast.

Gotta agree with Fracture on this one. Range is not a PvP thing. Its terrible with pvp. Coming from a Range/Melee hybrid myself. And in terms of Dps even crash shot cant compare with melee wm.

I mean, yeah, sure, eventually. But I'm not gonna worry about that. It's like worrying about what I'm gonna do when I'm 80 years old. It'll be awhile 'til I get there. Might as well live in the present.

I play Mabinogi mainly because of my friends and the people I've met. I would quit if it was just me playing to level up and get strong; that's boring as heck. I love helping people, I love those crazy runs where we all die (even though they're quite frustrating too, haha) and I really do love the game.

I still think my Shire is the sexiest thing out there. My first pet and all. haha

And I look forward to newer content being released, like that Shadow Clone skill.

Take a break. If you come back, then you'll come back. If not, then it was fun while it lasted, yeah?

PvP in this game is so F'd up it's not even funny. Again, it's based on connection and how high your skills are. Not "skill" in the least.

Well if you have no friends in game and h8 the combat system then quit, many people have because of this reason. From my pov, your qqing over the worst type combat, human range, so I can see how you h8 your skill set, ever think about hybriding into an ranger\achemiest, ranger\magician, or ranger\ warrior? game are about fun, if game not fun, dont play. Someday it might seem fun again and you'll restart, you don't need to delete your character ever, and no you never will be the god of mabi ever because you should have something better than mabi, called a life. Accept imperfection as an perfection, because striving for perfection will perfectly fail. Show people you can live being imperfect instead perfect, because you can solo a cair adv with all f ranked skills and have fun, or you can be a no lifer camping everyone with all your 1 ranked skilles and go in to a depression due to the complete waste of time and money geting to that level.

I have friends in-game, and the combat system is like any other MMORPG(Click skill use skill pot pot click skill use skill pot pot). I'm not QQing over my skill set, whatever gave you that idea? I have plenty of Magic Skills(Ice Spear, Thunder, IB, LB, FB, Sheilds ect), Alchemy doesn't do much good for the AP it costs.

This part has nothing to do with why I should re-download Mabi. I've gone through Alby ADV with 3 people their totals less than 100, I've gotten to the floor with Fireflies in Peaca Basic with 3 people, and a bunch of other things. I'm sorry to say, but I'm not a casual gamer, and it seems you are. Oh... they only people I camp are the ones who camped my brother. :)

I was doing the Elf trans quests on my new Elf who had a total of 28. Got to the Karu part and wasted 10 nao stones trying to do it, then I completed it and got hit with Alexina's quest to get those field bosses, kill a giant worm or do maiz.

That made me rage quit and I don't feel like playing mabinogi for a while. But tomorrow I probably will get on mab and do it then get elf transformation. With the help from freinds of course.

You can also ask what would you do besides playing mabinogi? People play games as a way to relax. If you have something better to play or do for relaxation then go do that.

But see, I've never had a problem like that. I'm not rage quiting or quiting in general, I just don't see the point in re-downloading the game just to let it sit there until someone wants help that's not really needed.

WELL IF YOUR NOT REALLY QUITING, THEN WHY DO YOU NEED REASONS TO STAY?
Stop trolling people and close your tread.
Stop contradicting yourself, if your not quiting and you don't have the game then what are you doing?
On break? Then say that!
We tried to give you the reasons why to stay, and you blow it in to our faces!
If you think the only reason to stay is to help people, then fine re download stay and help people.
If you think that no one needs help then your reason in mabi is fulfilled and you can quit re downloading.
If you want opinion, then take them.
If you like your opinions SO MUCH that you won't help hearing other peoples, lock thread.
p.s. I am not a fast typer, so when I text wall in a help thread for someone does not need help, I get P.O.ed. because it's a waste of time.
