Not sure if this is against the rules or not, but I'll ask anyway <_<
Is it possible to replace the Vindictus Client voices with the Mabinogi Heroes Client voices? =( I'm liking the Mabinogi Heroes voices for Fiona much more than the Vindictus ones D:

Aye, I want to know this too, I like the Mabi Heroes version too.
Heretic, find where the files are located while I download Mabi Heroes? That way we can maybe just, copypasta
EDIT: Finding files is easier said then done x.e

I believe it's been encrypted into a .hfs file...

I did a search online >_> and apparently .hfs is the Hierarchical File System, which is used in Apple computers. It's their way of managing files, similar to how windows manages files in FAT or NTFS.

All you need to do is borrow a Mac and transfer the files over.
Afterwards, look through and replace the voices.

Well, going by that, they could save every voice from KR, then find the file names(hopefully the same) for the English version, then proceed to make the client look in that directory instead of the server.
The tediousness though.....scary
Plus they'd need to alter the client, something somewhat difficult to do and not so legal.

Exactly why I said it was out of my abilities :< I tried a dll viewer, and attempted some things. But I really didn't know what I was doing o.e

You can do a similar thing on Dungeon Fighter Online by replacing a soundpacks folder. I imagine that there are character soundfiles that are simple enough to replace if you can find the right ones. However, not sure if the patcher would detect that the file is different.
It also seems a bit lower priority to me because at least there's no horrid English mage voice (fighter voice in DFO is also kinda meh compared to korean). Let's pray that the English Evie voice is fine!

Understandable, doesn't seem like a common thing to know how to do. Probably would take someone experienced in this sort of thing.
Edit: Veda, we're saying there is no soundpack folder. It's all being streamed directly when you're actually listening.

Honestly I just want the Korean Fiona voice D: She sounds a lot more capable of doing Amaranth Kick with that voice than with the Vindictus voice =( >_> but then again maybe I'm just weird. And... I have a feeling Evy's going to sound very annoying =\ Any time there is American VA screaming out spell names it's always annoyed me xD Or in this case it'll probably be Evy yelling out attack commands to her Golem D:

psyal wrote on 2010-10-26 19:45
Nah, that's not weird. Many people don't like the American voice overs. And those DFO ones....so ackward to listen to for me. Guessing it'll be somewhat similar in quality, but who knows, they might have a great Evy voice actor for the English version.
