Fiona Weapons and Levels

I was just wondering at what levels Fiona gets new and improved weapons. I don't want to end up making the same mistake and not getting the Red Metal Longsword. The one I am looking at now is the level 28 Bone Spiked Longsword which has better stats than the other level 28 Longsword. Are there any other weapons that are not showing up until I get certain materials like the Red Metal? Also, if I am to go with the Bone Spiked, would it be better to actually put it off until level 30, or at whatever level a better sword comes out? I am using the level 20 Kobold Shortsword at the moment. (And really regretting it)
