Mabination Staff
Our staff is divided into groups.
The Administrator (Falsetto) makes sure everything is running well and make the big decisions.
The Super Moderators police the whole website to make sure everything is in order.
The Moderators do the same as Super Moderators, but focus on particular subsections of the site.
The Website Maintenance Administrator (me) makes sure the website is working, updates it and all that technical garbage, and also does the role of Super Moderator when there's no maintenance to be done.

Chat
Registered members have access to a live chat system. The chat is an IRC channel provided by Sin. You may use the information at that link to manually connect with your favorite IRC client, or use the web based system integrated with the website.
Note that you need Java installed to run the application.

All About Gold & the Shop
Gold is used for various things on Mabination.com. You will find many interesting things available for sale in the shop, such as upgraded user accounts, default font options for your posts, name changes, custom user titles and even 'pets'. Gold is fairly easy to earn, however you can't just sit there and expect to magically earn some.
Do not confuse this gold with mabinogi's in-game gold. This is completely separate, when we talk about gold it is website gold.
Earning Gold
There are several ways to earn gold. Here is a list of ways to go about filling up your wallet.
- Sign up! As soon as you have signed up, you have 150 gold waiting for you. All you need to do is make 5 posts and it's yours.
- Have a friend register with you. As long as someone signing up puts your name as their referrer, you will get 250 gold once they have made their 5 posts, you can laugh at them and say you got 100 gold more than they did for 5 posts.
- Post! posting threads and replies will earn you some gold. Some more important sections will give you a good bit more gold than others. For example, posting an official nexon news thread will get you nearly 3 times the usual gold, this is because only one person can make this thread, and it's very useful to the community.
- Make your posts meaningful. Short posts get less gold than long, content rich posts.
- Write a good guide and get it published on the front page. If your guide is well written and contains good information, it will be published as an article on the front page. When we do this, we send you 150 gold, maybe even more if it was particularly awesome.
- Events. Events on the forum might have gold prizes for you to win, so always be on the lookout.
- Donations. We don't currently need donations to run the site, however we can certainly use some to buy real-world prizes to use in community events. When people donate we will return the favor with some forum gold.
The Shop
Registered users who have gold on their account have access to the shop. To access the shop, find the "Shop" button on the top navigation bar:

Once in the shop, you can see your available gold on the top left of the shop area where it says "your information". You can also see your discount percentage, refunds, and total purchases.
There are two primary category of things to buy in the shop. Website Features and Icons/Pets.[INDENT]Icons/Pets
Icons and Pets are little images that show up under your name on each of your posts, and in your user profile.

Some icons and pets are limited edition and won't be available in the shop forever. Others will come and go as we add new ones. Once in a while we will accept icons from users and have a vote on which ones to use in the shop.
Website Features
The website features you can buy will improve your experience on Mabination.com. These come in all kinds of varieties. For example, you can change your user name, make a custom title, or even choose the default font styles all your posts will show up in.
Refunds
Some items can be refunded, such as font styles. Others can not, such as icons/pets, name changes and so on.
Donating Gold
You can donate gold to other users, either because you're nice, or as a form of payment for something. Donating has a flat fee that is paid by the donator. You can purchase a feature which will display your donation history, for both sent and received donations.
