Use utorrent, do not allow NAT on firewall/router, and force encryption.
Speed suffers, but ISP does not detect torrent, and doesn't use any traffic shaping on you.

By speed suffering I mean the torrent won't go very fast due to all the limitations you placed on it to avoid your ISP detecting torrenting.
To stop the downloading itself from slowing your connection just limit the up/down speed, leaving at least 50KB down and 20ish up. browsing pages will be fine after that but streaming stuff won't.
