I've been experiencing screen tearing, with and without vsync.
My graphics card is Radeon 5870, all drivers updated, system kept cold, and defragged regularly.
I've tried fiddling with lots of my Catalyst Control Center settings, and nothing has worked.
The screen tearing happens usually when running forward, and appears as small horizontal lines going from bottom to about halfway up my monitor.
I'm using the same refresh rate in game, as monitor. 60 FPS.
Any ideas? I've tried troubleshooting it, but running out of options.
Maybe it's something in game?
Hopefully someone with a similar setup has had and solved this problem.
I'd appreciate any help with this matter.
Thanks in advance.

It does sound like a refresh issue. Did you try downloading the latest drivers for your graphics card? Simple but very effective. Try lowering your settings just to see if it still occurs.
It might also be a monitor issue. If you can try playing other games and seeing if it is disruptive, ideally ones using some form of graphics to force screen refreshing more actively.
Either way if you can't figure out more checking if its the monitor or if drives updated don't work (update all drivers if you can just in case some other driver might be disrupting) then post a screen shot.
Make sure next time to post in troubleshooting.

Try running Fraps and see what FPS you're getting.
Does this occur in town or in dungeons?

I have the latest drivers. I've tried dropping the settings, and trying to narrow it down in that way, with no luck.

My FPS is always 61, it occurs anywhere, but only when running forward. It's a thin line of screen tearing that runs horizontally across the screen, I will make a video later and show exactly what I'm talking about.

I have a 5850. I can get my fps to hover at 59/60, but not 61, unless it's a loading screen.

stock clocks? run afterburner and purposely lower clocks if that is the case to see if it resolves it...screen tearing usually applies to bad overclocks but if ur on stock clocks then it could be another problem altogether...

Note that there is some whacky issues with not playing in a specific windows/fullscreen resolution, and not having an aero theme on if you're using Win7. I found that anytime I used Win7 Basic, regardless of if I was in fullscreen or windowed, I always get vertical tearing, even with V-Sync on. So try that. Windows Themes, and fullscreen/windowed settings.
