Just looking for some tips for rafting, pretty much any experiences from other rangers.
Some stuff that you should know:
I have r1 Magnum, r1 Ranged Attack and r2 Revolver. I have a 71 - 144 range with a 190 LLB and 197 dex at level 55. Crash shot is only rN. I have 59.8% Crit with Shadow Hero title.

Load Magnum from far away, and wait. Then, use AR at the weaker goblins (the non-Warriors). Not sure if your damage range can allow you to kill those goblin fast enough to aim for max stars easily.
r1 AR's faster load time and extra aim rate increase does help here.

A high ranked crash shot may work better than said method, but its AP heavy characteristic makes magnum more appealing.
Ideally, Advanced Magic should be used; if you have the MP, even rF Thunder may do better than range.
I only do rafting with range if I want to conserve mana and only get a few stars.
Last thing I want to point out is that you may want better range than a 190 LLB. I have an Elven Long bow that gives 100 more range, and if possible, have a bow ego or even a wing bow.

He has rN Crash Shot. To get r1 AR requires 60 AP. To get r5 Crash Shot requires a little over 200 or something.
If he really had the AP, just investing into Thunder will make rafting something you can do while you half-asleep or something.

I have 21 base int and 0 Int with Enchants I have so Magic would do 'great' damage for me. I'm thinking about Crash Shot since I would use it for SCC and Rafting mainly.
If Crits work out in my favour I can get around 9 stars all round. With 4.1 stars at the first checkpoint, 2.1 stars at the second and 3.1 stars at the last one. Thats a big if since I do have to trans after the first checkpoint and I do have to relay on Mag Crit Splash haxs and my imp stalling the warriors.
I usually open up with mangum onto the archers, load ar and deal with the Magic Shield hobs then try then try and pick off any archers while my imp distracts the warriors, then I deal with them. I abuse range to its extreme, as in make it so the white hobs can't reach with their magic but I can reach me. I save being bolt locked but suffer from aim speed.
Magnum can 1hko all the hobs, like a 80% ohko rate on Warriors and AR varies with the Magic Shield hobs. Archers take around 1-3 depending on crit and which AR they are being hit with.

Rank crash shot

9 big stars is good for someone who doesn't use crash shot. If you don't want to rely on mag crits, start working on your dex.

This describes my rafting almost exactly, except I use AR all the way through since I just started ranking magnum. I trans right before the mobs start during the 3rd section. Sadly, I guess the next step for us would be crash shot.

crash shot's pretty killer for rafting, though. if you have the dex and the max to back it up, it's useable at r9+ but it really starts to shine at r5+. i can hit about 15~16 big stars the whole run which is pretty nice, the mana use is much lower than thunder (my dinky, terrible rF thunder ..)

Crash shot IS great, but for the times when you don't have hax crash shot yet, just use arrow revolver. I get kills so easily with arrow revolver and it's a lot more useful than rank 1 magnum too. Also be sure to kill all the goblins that put up shields because for some reason, it's extremely easy to crit on them. I crit on almost every single one every time. o_O

I got 6 stars per leg with a rF Crash Shot o.o
(exception of the second leg getting 4-5)
You will need:
1) good damage(at least 200~250 max is preferable if you want to have that low of a rank CS)
2) To be close to the mobs. Rafting close lets you aim faster. Although you'd be able to get it, it's much better than missing. If you hit them as you begin to cross them on the river, you should never get hit yourself. See video above
3) A long range bow, ego preferable
4) Be ready to use AR to pick off enemies as usual, if needed
5) The typical 30% crit, duh
6) Magnuming small groups of warriors(~2) can be more effective than low ranks of CS
That's my advice for rafting with low CS ranks. Once you get to about r9 you won't have to worry nearly as much about things, and after r5 it'll be almost as mindless as Thunder rafting.

The shielder's are incredible weak and only have one purpose, and thats to be killed of with "easy" shots. I go for them first all the time.

I fall so short of this. I only have a 144 max with a 190 LLB

It would take some practicing, it may make me aim faster, but so with the hobs. The white ones are also in my range and can bolt lock me.

Gonna make a 149 Elven Long Bow and get a Ego LLB

Yea I can pretty much ohko them with Mag, and deal some crazy damage on to them with a Mag splash crit hax, sadly their the only goblin on raft that can survive mag splash crit hax

Its official then, I'll start working on Crash Shot asap.

You make me want to spend 10 AP on crash shot rank F now. Darn you.

Aye, you should. I can rely on rafting for most of my essentials now, thanks to G12.
Inversely, try for going for other mobs with AR rather than shields. Pick off the shield mobs as you begin to start drifting out of range. It ends up working out better, especially if your damage is lower.

rF Crash Shot has cookies 8D
In all honesty, that video gave me a new insight on another method to do Rafting (if it wasn't for the massive AP use). Thanks for sharing!
