Bwaaaah confusion. Here we go.
1. Can Scythe users use Eagle Talon? (the in game desc. says its usable only by staffs)
I mean, either the desc. is wrong or I didn't read it right. Look at this for example.

2. Finishers? Do you need the actual skills/skillbooks to use them, like Death Label?
3. For Mabi Heroes: Is a scythe or staff DPM higher?
4. Can Scythe users use alchemy? Erg transformation dood. nuff said.

1)idkmaybe
2)Yeah, you need the skills, which all require ranks in Battle Scythe Mastery as prereqs.
3)I'm guessing Scythe is more DPS non-trans. All depends on your play style though.

1.) Your not suppose to but it appears to be working that way there. Time will tell when Scythes are in if it will work on our servers.
2.) Finishers tend to only need a skill book if they are multiple part attacks. Some of the effects might not work fully without the skill but you can still do the attack. Fiona for example does not have blossom as an attack to much later, yet she still has the shield bash early on which is only improved by skill in terms of adding additional skills after. Lann has the same with his 4 finisher doing the same motion but adding smaller attacks to it.
3.) Not quite sure. Both have some good damage. I believe that staff evie is more bursty in terms of damage with FB cool down. Scythe does more consistant damage but much of it like other characters is based at the end of combos with the smash moves trained into finger snap.
4.) I'm pretty sure Scythe can still use alchemy. A scythe is suppose to only not allow you to use bolt magic. That being said I'm not 100% sure about healing having heard conflicting facts about it, though I'm pretty sure heal doesn't work as well.

This is pretty much exactly what i was going to say. :) Also, is that Hoarfrost Depths?

does anyone know if the scythe finishers run off magic attack or regular attack?

If i would have to guess, Regular Attack. Although Finger Snap looks magical to me :D

I'm guessing magical.
Since magic is pretty much equivalent to lann and fiona's smash atk.
The finisher should be magical.
Make sense since Lann and Fiona has Smash Mastery whilte Evie gets Magic Mastery..

Here's a question: What's required to get the scythe?
Do we need Rank D Staff Mastery? Is it Rank D Combat Mastery? A lot of things have been thrown around, and I don't know what to trust. I suppose since servers are already down, I'll find out tomorrow.
I nearly have Rank D Combat Mastery as I was leveling it for Smash Mastery anyways, but I haven't bothered to level Staff Mastery at all as I intend to go Scythe and can't see how a staff being lighter or better would benefit me in any way. So, I would rather not waste 120 points on it if it isn't necessary to get a scythe.

I think someone said you don't need Staff Mastery. Scythe is just from a quest.

As far as I know you DO NOT need anything in staff mastery. Even if you do it would be such a low rank it would easily be covered. A Scythe is a completely different method from play then a staff, unlike fiona and lann who basically trade attacks, evie trades play style.

I disagree with this. Having a completely different set of attacks completely changes one's play style since you have to develop different strategies to compensate for the differences.

I think his point is that the playstyles of the two other class's variations are quite similar compared to the total difference Evies will face.

Everything that consists of physical attacks, L and R combos are based off your Attack stat. This includes the "scythe" smash. Now, the E command that you use to follow up your smash combo, that E attack is based off magic attack.
For those that don't know, INT raises your magic attack, and STR raises your attack. WILL raises your physical crit rate, AGI raises your magical crit rate.
Hope this helps ^^.
