Internet trolls, rejoice! Even you can find true love, if you know where to look.
British website The Ugly Bug Ball was created to help "aesthetically challenged" people find true love. Kind of like a Beautiful People for the rest of us.
Tom Clifford, who had been single since 1998, was using the site when he stumbled across Janine Walker's profile in late August. He decided to send her a message, and now, four dates later, the two are engaged and set to be married in December. The Ugly Bug Ball is even giving the two a free honeymoon to lovely Borth, Wales.
So, the good news is that you shouldn't despair if you're one of the few people realistic enough to realize you probably aren't a 7, because somewhere out there, there's a man with "a face that makes children cry" (Tom's words, not ours) who will love you for who you are.
Seriously, you guys, we're glad you found happiness, but get thee to a self-esteem workshop. Nobody deserves to think of themselves that way.

Sometimes I don't understand the direct connection between low self-esteem and accepting the general opinion that you are unattractive by the public in general.
Not that people put others down but there is a general sort of sentiment society gives you that you can never escape from.

Wtf? I thought the idea of Beautiful People or whatever that site was called was extremely stupid, and this is just as stupid. Go out, make some friends, and if you aren't a jerk you'll eventually find someone who'll give you a chance despite your looks. I thought my boyfriend was ugly when I first met him and I still think he is, but that doesn't stop me from liking him.

Citing the fact that the couple are both ugly doesn't help their self-esteem or anybody who's related to such a matter.
The only good news is that love can look past physical appearance at least, as a reminder.

Well I don't actually tell him that...I keep it to myself lol. And he doesn't even care about his appearance anyway. He's more like the brains >>>>>>>>>>>>> beauty type.

That kinda thing...
It's kinda stupid to admit you're ugly. Ugly is such a bad word. Then again, there's no other word for it that doesn't make the speaker sound awkward.
Still, though, I didn't think people actually used those sites.
