Uhhh... there's quite a lot of types of spiders in Vindictus.

The red small ones though.... I always get creeped out by the 2-3 fast ones D:

Red Soldier Spiders probably.

Noooo. I mean the tiny tiny ones, like the ones in Perilous Ruins but their red in Hoarfrost. When a mob of em spawns theres always 2-3 extremely fast ones that always break my helm in 1 hit, and then after I get back from being stunned I'm faced with the rest of the mob

Those are just normal spiders. Some of them just charge at you, and some are a little more lax, saying as how I've seen spiders start crawling towards me and then charge at me later. As for breaking your helmet in one hit, are you on hard mode with Macha, and/or forgotten to restore your equipment? Because the only way a spider breaks any equipment for me is if it's one of those two conditions.

I'm still in my Scarlet Witch Set which has taken a beating and I do restore it often, even in normal though my helm is the first to break by these damned spiders

Just go naked. I haven't used armor and I'm at the very end of boat 3. Cloth armor doesn't really help all that much at this level anyhow and I'd rather not pay the repair bills from having my gear break every single time I get hit.

I was considering doing that but then I'm not as purty

That Scarlet cloth hat breaks at just about any hit. Nothing really unusual going on. Also, the more deterioration points it has on it, the faster it breaks, supposedly.

From what I understand and experienced, deterioration points only affect the cost of repair. On the other hand, the condition of your equipment affects how fast it breaks. That is why leveling your armor proficiency will help make your armor last longer in battle and break less fast since it increases max durability (condition).

Yep, that's how it works.
Deterioration only affects prices, while condition is what determines how fast the equipment is destroyed in battle. Really noticeable with Fiona and counter attack.

I'm pretty sure that they can (as All the characters can) dash as well as walk. :)
