eh. I've noticed that anti-virus systems change from either being good or better. I've been using Kaspersky since my old computer would be stupid.

Norton Antivirus will eat your computer, then your soul.
Switch while you still can.

It might already be too late.
My friend uninstalled norton on his vista laptop on friday, he then got a blue screen. After that he couldn't boot up anymore. He did it in class so I saw it happen Dx Apparently this might also happen if you let it expire.

This must explain why my laptop sucks now... I had Norton like 2 years ago on it because it was already installed on it. When the subscription expired, I kept it on there, but as the months went by, my laptop grew progressively slower and slower until its now to the point where it takes over 5 minutes to load an internet browser, and it lags every 10 seconds when I type something. I thought it was my almost-dead battery(it's got a 1 second life).

If I get rid of Norton, my dad flips **** no matter how bad I tell em it is.... and then if a problem comes up my dad blames me for getting rid of norton and calls Comcast to get it back on. :doom: Besides since it comes with Comcast it doesn't expire until Comcast switches to something new. Only hope I have is getting a computer when I graduate in 2 months:no!:

My dad actually buys Norton. It works fine for me.
Nothing like blue screen of death, uninstall problems, or anything.
I don't get viruses either.
..Of course, there's always the problem with Dell laptops and looks>performance. It heats up really fast and hums slightly louder than my dad's Toshiba. My dad's laptop's been dropped a billion times and it hasn't got a scratch. I have more issues with the laptop itself than Norton.

It could very well just be an accumulation of junk that's been building up over the months you've been using your laptop.
Do a disk clean up, uninstall unused junk, top it off with a defrag, and it should be back up to speed. As a bonus you could open it up and clean out the dust inside if you're feeling brave as well. :p
I have uncle who used his computer without any sort of maintenance for 2 years and the thing was almost unusable by the time he brought it to me. Works great now though.
AS FOR THE TOPIC:
Mine goes to MSN, LOL.
Weird stuff. :p
