  I think the real problem is that I'm in Ruairi, the server where everyone sits in dunbarton afk.

  Do it RIGHT after servers come up from maintenance. Or right after an unexpected maintenance. Or during banquet, or during jousting, or during fashion contest. Or hope you get really lucky. It also helps if you fly out to meet them instead of asking them to come to Tara. 8)

  I note everyone I get assigned to if I can meet them somewhere in mabi, not just tara.

  I've been randomly doing the PTJ lately, and sticking the fragments into my house. They sell really really fast.
  
  Generally, I just look on my friend+guild list to see which channel has the most of them who aren't afk, and go on that channel. If person's afk or the "Screw you" type, I just log out, and go onto another character to try.
  
  ...Success rate is something like 20% for me ._. (Counting over 8 characters).

  I hope you meant whisper/@, and not private message/note. D; Because I know tons of people won't check their notes. I usually message them, wait a minute, message them again. Chances are they'll come back. :x But sticking a lot of mules at the Tara bank is a good idea too.

  My friend got soooo lucky on her second PTJ because she actually got my name for the PTJ haha. We were both like, wtf?

  What my friends and I end up doing, if the person is ridiculously far such as Bangor, we either don't go, or the person actually delivers there, then another person goes to outside the city (so their wings would still lead to Tara) using housing tickets, then opens party and wings the person delivering back to Tara.
  
  I don't expect people to go all the way to Tara, since it's me that wants the PTJ complete and they could probably care less. Then again, I seem to get a lot of the "Screw you, I'm not gonna take your package, just to screw you over for the lulz." <- Even when person was right outside the bank. >_< That's when I jump onto another character.
