This is going to sound stupid, but RCA to VGA/HDMI/DVD-D?

So I can play my PS2/whatever on my monitor. My monitor can switch inputs so that won't be a problem, plus I have a RCA switcher box thing that you plug stuff into, and it has an RCA out that plugs into the TV so I can switch whatever I'm using.

I Googled a bit but I couldn't find any straightforward answers, though apparently this kind of thing does exist.

You can get one of these. I've got one. I used to hook up my PSP/Wii to play picture in picture while on the PC.

It's decent if you need a temporary fix before stepping up to a new monitor that has the additional perks of those inputs.

Picture in Picture is well worth it to me anyways.
