It's annoying to waste time to lure each spider when I could have already taken the web they dropped. And you should be using Finest Silk Weaving gloves if you aren't already.

  Actually spider farms are very effective if you multi-task. This means that your mule collects the webs while your main weaves at the loom.

  Spider farms are actually easy to make, i take around 5~15mins making a decent sized one in tir (10+ spiders, probably 20+ if i have patience for it). Also i am wearing finest gloves.
  
  The only prob are farm destroyers, they're annoying. :sigh:
  Without them weaving would be just sit there, wait for webs, pick them up and repeat

  Yes, without spider farm, r8 weaving is a lot harder than it is.
  
  Tir can be ineffective since beginners could come and destroy your farm.
  
  Try to look for a place that most people don't know about. I could pm you a location if you are still interested.

  Also, the list might not be complete.
  I have seen one of these at one of the landmarks in rano but there's only one and not enough to create a farm, and that's not listed on wiki.

  idk about what channel you guys' reside in, but krpr has a good point with the spider farm killings. Alexina people take a fiendish joy in destroying them (has been the victim of many of these cases) I stopped making them.
  One idea, is to get friends on other channels collecting them for you, if you have anyone.
  Another one is to buy thin threads from sellers or individual people.
  
  Or the last idea, (it's what I did) just keep collecting them - about 100 at a time - buy finest silk gloves and hope for the best. Tedious, but if it's any consolation, it's the hardest rank. After rank 8 the rest is a walk in the park.

  Ok I think there is another way that I recalled. Baol infiltration. Guard spiders drop webs if I'm not mistaken. However that's Sunday only and you have to be lucky enough not to meet the hounds.
  
  That's a place nobody really bothers to go to and you can't be disturbed by anyone. I don't think you can make a spider farm there but at least they are in one dungeon room.
  
  You'll probably need a mule or character who's doing G3 though. That means human only.

  I'm glad I did r8 before the bots got there. Unfortunately, there is usually only one channel that doesn't have bots. I don't know if Channel 1 has bots now? The problem is everyone doing weaving will be drawn to the bot-less channel anyway and people get greedy. I guess make a farm in Tir, since there's a lot of walls there, and hope that it doesn't get killed. Either that, or do Alby repeatedly, although I never actually tried this method. There's a problem once the spider spots you, since it stops producing webs. An elf can fix this easily by hiding, but I'm not sure how a human would deal with it.

  Yep, ch1 didn't had them by the time i made this thread. However did the same conclusion as you.
  Or people will try to use the farm and make it worthless, or just wm to try and get rid of me from that place.
