I don't download updates because I have to re-keygen it sometimes.
An update back in Pro 8 made me go through the process of getting another key.
It was annoying.

I don't really notice any problems, except for my brain's apparent lack of ideas for searching up effects.
And some occasional lag/display problems.
..do you happen to have a shatter effect/transition?
