I'm pretty sure it's wood. Metal/plastic has more immediate adverse effects on the body than wood.

Oh well you know, it's just...chopsticks seem kind of long...hard...painful...and pointy. I can't imagine anyone "accidentally" swallowing one. XDD Unless maybe it was those collapsible metal kinds, but then I still don't see why it would be in their mouth in the first place.
