Seriously they had to study to figure that out? Our brain works off of electrical signals and either side of the brain helps with either creativity and language while the other focuses more on logic and mathematical skills. It's only logical that stimulating the part of the brain which deals with logistics would increase one's mathematical abilities as all math is is logic questions presented through numbers.
Interesting as hell but doesn't seem all that groundbreaking imo.
Edit:
LOL do you guys really believe this stuff? Nerves work by sending electric currents to the brain, any other electric currents would just be needless confusion. Besides, thanks to all our electronics, we are literally swimming in electric fields, and my math grades haven't been going up.
Just read this. You do realize that for many years people were using shock treatment on schizophrenic patients in vain attempt to subdue the patients and help with curing the schizophrenia. They didn't succeed in helping matters but the currents used in the shock treatment did have effects on the neurons in your brain. As someone who has seen this first had, i would know.
The electrical waves around us are different. They move at a different frequency than our brains do so no, they don't effect us in a way that we notice. Certain electrical waves though will have effects to your cellular make-up which is evident in cancerous cells formed around extensive use of electrical devices such as cell phones and microwaves.
So while i disbelieve in SEVERAL things in this world, this doesn't sound half as outrageous as some things i have heard.
Edit:
Sorry for random wall of text guys, i just kind of have an obsession with psychology... lol.
