I read the first 300ish manga chapters and some of the 700+ ones as they came out, but it feels like the plot went on hold for like the last 9 years?

YES! This is about the only anime I've ever watched. It had a short stint on Adult Swim, and I would get up at 5AM every morning - hours before I needed to be up - to watch this stuff. God it was great.

I downloaded over 100GB of every episode and all the movies, but I haven't watched them all. :/

WHAT!!!! NO THEY DON'T! The movies were freaken epic man (at least the first couple that I've seen are anyways).

This is probably the only long running series that I found to be interesting. I mean, what's not to like about a genius kid solving super tough crimes? Jimmy is Da Bomb.

Each movie is one case that they tried to drag on for 2 hours, and there's like 8+ movies? I saw Full Score of Fear in the theaters at Taiwan a few years ago, and my friend and I fell asleep because it really wasn't that interesting. I honestly think it should stick to anime and manga but leave the big screen alone.

Full Score of Fear is probably Conan's worst movie. The new one that will come out soon looks good. It has Kaito Kid seducing Ran.
