Personally, I'd love if the drawing contest returned, but during break, not during the school year.
Maybe some banner contests, guide contests, something-else-that's-helpful-to-others contest.

Drawing contest... it's not going to have as much participation because it requires more effort and a certain skill level.
For other forum-wide events (eg. RPG), everyone can participate.
