Hello everyone, I have yet to invest in either set, but I am curious on the community's thoughts on these two [slightly] similar sets of armor for a Fiona. I apologize if this has already been posted, but after seeing this in the Nexon forums, I'd like to know what you guys think.
Copypasta from the Nexon thread:
Blood Prince Set: DEF +1857, STR +168, AGI +159, INT +61, WIL +58; Old cat's eye ring: STR +23, WIL +23
Heavier Red Tyrant Set: DEF +1895, STR +120, WIL +166, HP +80; 2x Old cat's eye ring: STR +46, WIL +46
If you switch from BP to HRT, you will have: DEF +38, STR -25, AGI -159, INT -61, WIL +131, HP +80, Higher Durability
End of copypasta.
So then, when compared to the Blood Prince set, Heavier Red tyrant gains some crit, which is nice for a Hammer Fiona, (the actual % I do not know) at the cost of some DEF gained from the AGI as well as the stamina recovery time from that. Due to the AGI loss, it's possible the raw DEF of HRT is actually lower than the BP set because of the sheer amount of AGI - Don't quote me on that, I still don't know the numbers.
I can't give an opinion of this, I can only state what I've observed. Speaking of observation, I've seen noticeably more people with BP than HRT. I don't automatically assume BP is better, because while HRT is reportedly easier to craft, BP can be acquired earlier, and so by the time we can utilize HRT, people already have +2 or +3 to their BP set and don't want to lose their investment.
Thoughts?

100 Will is about 1.6% higher chance of Crit.
Agility doesn't make a huge difference in Stamina Regeneration, especially with Combat Respiration.
Blood Prince has higher Str, and if you're an effective Fiona, your defense shouldn't matter too much, especially only 38 defense.
50 ATK can make a difference in one shotting or 2 shotting a mob. That's all I can say.
Personally, I like my HRT.
It matches my Capricorn and Eagle Heart oh so well.

I see, thanks very much ^^ I'm leaning largely towards Red Tyrant, one reason is because that extra crit chance coupled with the fact I'm hammer will make each and every strike that much more effective.
I'd love to hear what others have to say, as well. ^^

I haven't looked into the itty bitty details myself, but I generally accepted HRT as a Hammer Fiona's optimal gear, while BP was fine for Sword Fiona.

*Nods* Thank you =) So I take it that it really depends on your weapon specialization, HRT for Hammer and BP for Sword, gotcha.
If anyone else would like to throw in their two cents I would love to hear the input ^^

As Tea and Andy said, the Tyrant set is made more for people who rely on crits. Due to Hammiona's ability to deal crits and knockdowns even through normal hits, the extra WIL may prove to be very useful, especially if you've capped critical hits, combat mastery, will mastery, and smash mastery. The Damage percentiles on all of Hammiona's attacks are quite high, though, so the 26 STR lost may be felt in each hit. The best way to figure out whether BP or HRT is better is to use the damage formulas in bakuryu's guide.
Assuming the monster has 0 defense, your average damage should be
(Crit Chance)(ATT + 900)*percentile*(1 + Base Mastery% + Mastery%)[1 + (Critical Skill %) + WIL * 0.03/200] + [1 - (Crit Chance)] * [(ATT + 900) * percentile * (1+ base Mastery% + Mastery%)]
Or you could just be like me and wear the one you like the looks for more >_> Not a fan of the tyrant set mostly because of the horns so I stay away from it xD

Yeah, I should probably not worry too much about min/maxing every miniscule detail, I've already played and quit a game that dealt with that, and I really shouldn't start up that old habit again and just go with what looks better. Thank you =)

1. You definitely want to get BP set, if only for the title.
2. HRT set would cost you gold to make and the difference isn't noticeable.
