You all forget that Red Dragon already has this type of ability.
Drains half your HP MP and SP and unsummons pets. Also does damage if you're directly in front of it, and kills you if you're deadly.

Seriously, wtf is the point of this...
The game is far too easy as it is. Variety and challenges would be nice, outside of dungeons like Peaca. And "make 10 mobs aggro you at once and spam ranged attacks" isn't very fun because there's no strategy available to beat that outside of "hit everything and hope they die in one hit".

I really don't see how the game is still challenging at all now that people can eventually reduce all damage by 75%.
At least, anything made to be challenging for those players is grossly overpowered for anyone else.

Why not call the skill "Feedback" and make the skill deal damage as well, so pure melee/range people get affected as well. Mages take less damage from the attack because of their naturally high int (resulting in high magic def) despite having a deeper mana pool.

Just because you don't use magic or Adv spells frequently, or just because you're dependant on melee doesn't means the magic portion of the class; ie. people like me, wouldn't be affected by this kind of ideas.
Think about the balance. My build, till now, is pure magic. There is no way Devcat or NEXON will implement such a skill that's so broken towards a single class.
Mages are already:
- Horrible in PVP
- Horrible in PVE without ample prep
- Horrible in terms of regenerating mana
- Horrible in terms of repair cost for weapons and probably equipment costs
- MP potions are not purchasable
- The only one skill that allows you to regen mana is way too slow if you're expecting to even BOLT SPAM
Magic is already so nerfed, so screwed beyond all levels of low, the only good thing about us is that we can deal h- Oh wait, crash shot and summon golems. Seriously, leave the bloody mana alone, there is no need for you to NERF mana anymore. Good if you're using it to shield your own HP, but for other players that classes only as a mage, this small pool of mana we have (Even if it's 500 ~ 600++) is going to take a huge hit to whatever crap you're going to suggest.
Think about it. Before we do dungeons, mages will have to prepare mana potions, prepare wands, prepare mana restoration stones and crap like that. Everytime when we decides to attack, we can only fall upon ADV which is mana intensive, or Basic, which does CRAP damage anyway in comparison with a warrior or an archer of equal levels using their melee/ basic range (I.E. I know melees that does 200 per hit normal without weapons, or archers doing at least 80 damage ~ 12X damage without criticals). We cannot wound, we cannot attack real fast like the rest of the classes. All we mages can do is to sit there, charge our ADV magic and hope nothing hits us during that duration.
Your suggestion is going to screw our mana up. With this, I disagree with this idea. Gathering mana potions is already a pain in the ass, if you're going to include somemore rubbish skills to defeat the purpose of us gathering our mana, we might as well remove magic from the game, turn everyone to archers or melee.
