What's the best way of obtaining them?
...Besides buying them and Life skills, of course.
I've been trying Their Method for quite a while now since I believe they yield Diamonds occasionally, but I've done it five times and not one has dropped. I'm not complaining or anything since I know Diamonds are rare, but perhaps there is a Shadow Mission that seems to drop it more often than others?
Thanks in advance~

Any Tara SM will drop them. I guess you could do it that way.

It's a pretty low chance to get diamonds... I've done scc int hundreds and hundreds of times, but only have gotten 4 so far since g10 was released.

Well he's asking for alternitive methods, that's all I can think of. Besides being jerky and saying metal conversion isn't technically a life skill.

But you can get Diamonds far easier with Metallurgy/Metal Conversion.
I haven't had a single Diamond drop for me in a Tara Shadow Mission. Ever. Even then, I get bigger Diamonds from Metallurgy.

You're better off buying the cheap, 1.00-1.2 cm ones from the shops in Dunbarton, the rates are extremely low like everyone else said. I've probably run over 200 Their Method SMs(probably more) and I've only gotten 1 Diamond from all of those runs. Not counting all the other random SMs that I do in Tara, which are a lot.

I'm only r7 metal conversion, and I've gotten four diamonds so far.
... is that a fluke?

You can get 1.5 cm diamonds from Hot Spring Monkeys, if you feed them food they "Love" like Vegetable Soup or... that other one... can't remember what it was... Shrimp Fried Rice?
Anyways, you'd need rank 9 cooking to be able to make those dishes all by yourself.
I really do prefer Metallurgy/Metal Conversion for diamonds.
Then again, I really like those skills. :p They're oddly FUN.
