The thing is if I put one up for vindi, all 3 games will be on it as 3 root categories, for the sake of completion. If individuals want to work on the mabi one they can, even if the success of the wiki is from vindi or mabi2, the main point is that it will be there if anyone wants to work on it even if no one ever touches it.
Mabination is a mabinogi universe fansite, not just mabinogi 1, so we should either have the wiki for all 3 or no wiki at all.
Then we can just rip info off of Mabinogiworld, and make our own Wiki for Vindi/Mabi2

Mabiworld wiki sucks. The only good thing about it is some reference data and server status.
With mabination wiki, we could have new features that are not available in mabiworld.
Of course I would pm what i had thought up to osay so that mabiworld can't steal.

Mabinogi world's wiki literally has dozens of people working hours every day filling out information.
Before opening to the public there was practically a full time team to make sure almost every general pages are complete. This makes it easier for others to follow.
At this point there is no reason to open another mabinogi wiki.
Vindictus wiki isn't too difficult to pull off because there is very little information compared to mabinogi. The pre-existing one needs some work anyways.
You can go for it, but that'd just undermine the effort already put into vindictuswiki. Might as well just go work on that one.
We could devote to Mabinogi 2 wiki as early as NOW, and there will still be more information than we can fill out when it comes out.
The biggest advantage behind a wiki is the sheer number of people commuting to the site. If we're not the first to have a major wiki, chances of success drop significantly. Thats why guru's wiki failed.
We could muscle through vindictus wiki if we really wanted to. But we'll have to start mabinogi 2's wiki asap if we want to make sure its successful.
Oh, and just a thought, but maybe we should change the site name overall then? It can't be mabination and represent mabinogi, vindictus, and mabinogi 2... Nexon would never accept that.

Mabiworld has the wiki covered. If people want to make a new wiki, Im for it. (Especially if we can get info because of our good amount of kr players.) Im not a vindi player so I dont really have an opinion about it, but a mabi2 wiki could be something we could give a shot at.

I dont see the point in having another wiki for mabinogi ._.
I say focus on vindictus since the current wiki isnt up to date and needs a lot of work. and you can maybe throw in mabi2 when it comes out

everything's already been organized everywhere else

But I don't care what nexon thinks.
All 3 games are based on the mabinigion, whether mabi2 is an upgrade or a sequel it'll still qualify (unless NA nexon is in charge of development but thankfully they're not).
What I'm seeing so far is mabi2/vindi yes, mabi1 no because of mworld.
Since the point is to have all 3, that's sort of like 2 VS 1 so far.

I only support this if I can help and receive benefits of a image title, or something.
Mabi2 will probably be forever ways off though, like years.

Face it though. Without Nexon's recognition advantage, we'll easily fall behind other sites. They gain attention, and in turn gain more manpower to get the wiki to be solid.
Assuming Mabinogi World's wiki was worked on by a single person, all the amount of time devoted into editing it would've taken said person his entire life to get it to where it is now.
Sure we have plenty of eager people now, but whats really necessary for a wiki's success is pure numbers, not a handful of devotees. The job of the handful of people we have now would be to organize and set up page templates and complete the most important pages.

I say we do a wiki for all three. Vindi will almost definitely work, Mabi 2 will work and we can try a Mabi one and if it fails, who cares?

It'd be better if everyone involved just focused on a Vindictus and a Mabinogi 2 wiki first, since it seems that the existing ones aren't good enough.
Taking it step by step is better than just rushing into all three at the same time.
If you do want a Mabinogi wiki, that should come much later when the other two are more established.

That's pretty much what I would hope people do, but not everyone likes vindictus and there's not much on mabi2 yet. My job is to put it online, once it gets going the community will be deciding what direction to take it in.

Yes for Mabinogi II.
No for the others. Unless Vindictuswiki is absolutely a lost cause.

I was actually thinking of designing a large scale strategy sight that included a comprehensive wiki. I would love to link up to nation when its done and maybe we could join forces on collaboration?
The reason is 2 fold. First NA mabi wiki is not being maintained very well and information for it is almost always months out of date. Second there is no comprehensive guides (including videos and such). I'm a mabi-nerd and this would be a joy to get set-up. If I could PM with some of the mods in charge of this site it may help me decide how to proceed on such a project.
Grinding the set-up and making video guides and things like that would be a joy for me but actually running a website I would need the most help on.
