I'm planning to get a elb and I was wondering what upgrade path to take. I was thinking about a range/crit hybrid.
Meles' Type Strengthening
Bow Tip Enhancement
Bow Tip Enhancement
Bow Tip Enhancement
Meles' Type Upgrade
Damage 11-25
Balance 20%
Range 2100
Crit 37%
Wound 25%~100%
I was also wondering about the stats of a carpented elb. Is this a viable upgrade path? Is the balance too low?

If you want crit you should go comp bow. And balance on the bow depends on your dex.

I would personally go for either the full range (no crit), or the full crit upgrade paths for Elven Long Bows. The path you listed is bested by a 240-2 Leather Long Bow (Attack 15-27 Critical 38% Balance 50% Injury Rate 0~100% Range 2100).
Carpentry bows will have higher balance, damage, durability and critical and are worth using over stock bows.

Okay thank you for the information. Would you happen to know the stats of a carpentry made llb bow?

I'm not sure what the stats are on lower ranks, but an r1 carpentry LLB would have 15~16 dura, ~25% crit and ~60% balance.

I'm guessing I won't be wrong to assume that they are freakishly priced.

Prices can go from 50~100k depending on quality. If you can't afford that much and have enough dex, LLBs dropped from Shadow Cast City have anywhere from 12~15 dura and slightly higher stats, but they also have 5~10% less balance over stock ones.

Eh, it's just that I saw a r1 llb for 9,999,999. That and the fails for trying to enchant quickness on it will probably add up.
