From what I've seen, the whole game. At least I haven't seen any videos with male magicians running about anyways.

Ugh, what happened to Mabinogi's unique no class :/
Well at least I can play out my God of War character :D.

I'm not gonna play...
1. It's kinda brutal - Ehm...
2. The lack of customization >.>
3. 5 GIGABYTES??
I like the graphics though. :]
Oh and
4. Lack of ... Freedom?
Sounds like a good storyline too

Yup D: will not be playing.
It had potential but as soon as characters were locked, this game go go screw itself. Had enough of these.

It's character locked because the game's story is about these heroes.
Also, so far the confirmed "classes" are Lann (Dual-Wielder) and Fiona (Shield-User) as you can see on Vindictus' site. There's also Evy (magician-female), Kay (archer-male), and Kalok (2handed blunts). The later 2 have not been released in KR yet, but confirmed to be released at some point.
It'd be weird if nexon released Vindictus without Evy... since Mabinogi Heroes OB already had her... maybe CB didn't I wouldn't know.
I understand how gender locked can be annoying, but it doesn't really bother me that much, it's an action game, not your typical RPG.
As for the person that was wondering about lag-dependency. The game functions via p2p connections, so if you solo: you won't lag at all. And if you party it would depend on the party members.
I partied with korean people and the lag wasn't so bad, and since nexon IP-Blocks the stuff, you'll only be bumping into NA people and you won't lag at all probably. And the occasional proxy user.. but as I said, if I played with KR people with low lag, I'm sure it's going to be fine mostly.

So you're roleplaying as an actual character
Kitae said that Mabi Heroes is a fun once a while game
not an everytime fun game

Was the character lock new? Or from the start of them game? Will it be for the whole game, or just beta? Dx Can you at least still choose to modify your characters appearance?

Lock has always been there. You can however modify their appearance as you see fit, just not their genders or weapon types.

Will choosing which character effect the story?

It shouldn't affect the overall story, but there may or may not be side stories (I leaning towards no)

Then I`m leaning to lann, I wanna make a kind of Kratos :D. Hope I can make my char brown though :3

Guh, where are the female archers? Owell, guess I'll revert back to female mage like in the old days of maplestory <3.

So basically, each char is limited to one weapon type and only some genders can use some weapon types.
But you can still name yourself w/e and look however you want. Doesn't seem very char locked to me, at least not to the point where it's unbearable.

This. You can dye and customize your stuff as usual, so it's not really locked or like everyone's the same like DFO.
I don't mind gender-restricted classes though.
