Deleting names

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. So I deleted a name and 30 days been past.. How come I still can't make it back?

Someone took it.

Unless it's only been exactly 30 days. Then you should wait one more day because the server reset times for things are weird depending on the time of day you deleted it.

I have just confirmed that it is 31 days and not 30 days. I also think that it is an hour before you deleted your character.

So let's say that you deleted your Character on October 20th at 1:48pm (What I did)...then on November 20th at 12:48pm you will get your name. (31 Days after)

I just made my character after waiting a month! Finally! Hope you get your name. :)

^ It think it really is 30 days, but the server's "days" are not the same as our days. Sort of like the international date line phenomenon.

So the time of day you deleted the character could put you into the next day's bracket, and your name won't be refreshed until the end of that server day, which ends on the next real day.

Speaking of the international date line, I have a friend who left on an airplane on his birthday, crossed the date line, and landed forward in time on the day after his birthday.

Oh, and I suggest deleteing your name around 1:48pm, because if you are right about the bracket thing...then at least you know that time is confirmed to be exactly 31 days. :)

Yeah, just saying 31 days would be much simpler than,

"30 days, but 30 server days depending on what bracket you've been place in which depends on the time of day you deleted the character, which may or may not increase the time to 31 days, but it's more likely to be 31 days than just 30."

Er, can I hijack this for a second? I believe it's been 31 days or so since I deleted my name. I deleted it at 9:50 PM. Can I use it now or do I still have to wait till that time?

We're still not sure. Depending on one of the three ways that we think it works, you can either use it now, use it when the server resets (it should have already, or it will be soon, as in within the next hour), or use it at that time.

I would try at 8:50PM and at 9:50PM. I got my name today after waiting 31 days. (I deleted mine at 1:48, but I was able to get it today at 12:48.)

I wish Nexon would help us out about the character deletetion instead of just saying "30 days." :P Especially since we have to wait for a while.

I wish character deletion didn't have to be so complicated and inconvenient in the fact you have to wait 30 days for a name to be usable again :/

Anyway I just tried using my name and it didn't work. Well I'm not sure whether this is day 30 or day 31 since I have a note saying four different dates for when it was supposed to be deleted, but I'll just keep trying to make sure.

True... I just got my name.. Yep u needa wait 31 days and u can make it 1 hrs before the time u deleted the char. Thx for the info!

This is probably late, but yeah, I can confirm it as well.

You have to wait 31 days, and the name is available an hour previous to when you deleted it. I deleted the name "Nodoka" at estimated 9:50 PM on the date Evie was announced (I believe that was 10/20) and was able to make it on 11/20 at estimate 8:50 PM. This is in eastern time zone.
