Call of Duty 3, I think, is one of the best Call of Duty games.
Being one of those people who want to join the army, when I can, I always play on the American campaign.
But I've noticed something, no matter if it is the Wii, 360, or PS3, the graphics are much like the first two. Then, for some reason, in Call of Duty 4, the graphics explode into good looking graphics. Is there a reason behind that?

Wasn't the maker of CoD3 the most hated out of all the CoD producing companies?

I think so. They made CoD 3 and WaW, I also think they made Black Ops

CoD3 was the biggest failure of the whole series iirc. I liked Modern Warfare the most though :)

MW is pretty horrible. No offense..
Again, no offense, but I've seen a lot of MW and MW2 fans only have MW or MW2.
When I got my first Call of Duty game (Finest Hour) I thought it was the greatest game ever.

My first CoD game was 3, and I liked it since I had nothing to compare it to, but overall I liked MW the best :U

WaW is the worst one imo. CoD 3 is the only campaign i haven't beaten on veteran. It's the first game to make me ragequit :(

CoD4 offered a $50 improvement over previous games. WaW should have been a CoD4 mod. MW2 and Black Ops do not offer $60 improvements over previous games.
Well... Maybe Black Ops.

Black Ops felt like more of a stand alone add-on of MW2 to me. For me, it's easier to kill people in it than in MW2, but there's no fun Killstreaks like the Nuke, and the maps get boring after you've been on them a hundred times.
Never really played any CoD games other than MW2 and Black Ops, but they are generally the same to me since they're basically about a certain era of war and the only major difference would be in what guns are used.

Before the Activision/Infinity Ward meltdown during March early this year, Call of Duty games were usually made once per year (as agreed with Activision), one year belonging to the original creators Infinity Ward and the other year belonging to Treyarch (merged with Gray Matter Interactive, who created "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" singleplayer). Spinoffs of Call of Duty were headed by lesser known developers.
Infinity Ward
Call of Duty (PC) - Expansion known as "Call of Duty: United Offensive" as created by Gray Matter Interactive
Call of Duty 2 (PC, Xbox 360)
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii [was handled by Treyarch and was labeled "Reflex"])
Modern Warfare 2 (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)
Treyarch
Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube)
Call of Duty 3 (Xbox, PS2, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)
Call of Duty: World at War (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii)
For those of you who don't know, Infinity Ward is consider the champion of the two developers. Treyarch is... more or less IW's "shadow", and just recently moved away from the World War II era with Black Ops. Now with most of the original Infinity Ward staff gone this year (They moved over to Respawn Entertainment with EA), some people look to Treyarch to head the crown of the Call of Duty games. Others believe it's pretty much the end of the line. While a few believe Call of Duty started sucking when 4 came out.
In my opinion, the best Call of Duty will always be the first one.
