Healing Wand Ego Gains MP Reduction Through Social

I just tested one more time since I had finally upped my ego's social from 21->22.
My mp went from 418->350, which is 68 points.
Since the base MP cost of Party Healing, at rank 1, is 80, this shows ~15% reduction in cost.

Likewise, regular Healing, at rank 1, takes 40 MP to cast, base, but my MP goes from 418->384 which is 34 MP, or ~15% less than base.

Last social level the reduction was at ~12.5% so it's definitely gaining MP reduction.

But speaking of non-elemental wand egos, does anyone have any info on if Combat wands reduce MP consumption on spells, or not?

I don't belive combat wand effect's mana consump, but rather it effects blaze damage.
Its weird though, it doesn't effect the dmg of the blast portion of blaze, but it seems to increase the damage of the initial hit.
Other than that I'm not sure what else...

Well, blaze's MP consumption is all weird.
It's not affected by MP sets or wand upgrades.
Or at least, I have noticed any change in the Max MP consumption.
But I suppose that as long as it increases blaze's damage, it's doing what is expected of it.
Try casting Healing without an MP set and see how much it takes, if you can.

I think Combat Wand egos only affect the "Str" part of Blaze, since raising Strength on Combat Wands raises the Melee dmg only (since it has no elemental affinity).

I'm pretty sure only Intelligence (and to a lesser extent, enchants) affect the explosion part of Blaze. But nice tidbit on the Healing Wand~

Just a word of warning. If you do get a mana reduction set, it seems that you still need the initial 80 MP to cast party healing even though it should theoretically consume less mana. This also works in the reverse where chain casted firebolt can be charged with only 5 MP (at rank 5) even though it normally consumes 32 MP per charge. I always take advantage of this when I'm ballooning with my cc+4 fire wand and use up all my mp10's before I start using up my mp30's.
