We used to pay that much for 1.5mbps, but turns out the company screwed up and gave us the wrong package, so we got upgraded to 4mbps, but then it turns out that were STILL supposed to be getting more, and Telus just sucked in this general area for both cable (which we cancelled a long time ago because it was messing with our internet back in 1.5), so we changed to Shaw for both cable and internet and now I'm getting 17mbps for $10/month. Fml.
But like, just call your ISP threatening to change providers and they'll gladly give you droolicious deals.

You sure its not 1Mbps, not 1mbps?
I dunno though, the only option we get here is a minimum of 10mbps for 80 dollars. Charter is a *****.
We called them up and gave them a talking to about nine thousand times, and now we have 2Mbps/sec internet for the same price.
But that doesn't mean charter isn't a *****. They deserve to burn.

That's why I left At&t. I wasn't getting what I was supposed to get, anyway.

Is there a distinction between Mbps and mbps?
I always thought the difference was Mbps and MBps.

Sorry, my bad with the shift key.
Megabites and Megabytes.
You're quite correct.

Cat should move to the tri-state area and get cheap but decent internet :)

No, the cat's looking for a MUCH better ISP in terms of pricing/service.
and speed
