Because if everything went according to plan, then there would be only one site. But since Itchy showed up, people stopped migrating or are sharing their time with both sites. My question isn't why is there two fansites with the same people posting on it, but why are people still posting on Guru? From what I have seen, the place has become a miniature version of Nexon's forums and have really gone to hell.

Basically, the site was originally made by a guy named Strafe, who is renown for making fansites, getting them so that they can manage themselves and then sell them off to the highest bidder. Some guy bought it from him, and then pretended to be him so that the forums wouldn't get confused with the new admin. Everything goes fine, with Itchy setting up ads so that he can make money to support the forums. He disappears from time to time, but not for too long for any emergencies too major.
Around the beginning of June of last year, he disappears completely, leaving the forums to its own. Guru needed some things fixed, but since the only person who could fix it was Itchy, it couldn't get fixed. So after a while, the staff got fed up with using the answer "We need Itchy" to big problems/suggestions to the site, we decided to just make a new site, just in case theirs a big database crash, in which case we can't do anything much to fix, since Itchy's the one who is supposed to do backups, and since we didn't see him for almost a year, believed that the forums weren't getting updated. And then there's the fact that Itchy makes alot of money off of the ad revenue, alot more than needed to keep the forums running.
So a few days after the move started, our old friend Itchy decided to show up. He admits that he was using the forums and the staff just to increase the size in his wallet, and that he was active behind the scenes. This would have been fine and all, except for the fact that he knew there were problems with the site, and he did nothing to fix it. He just lurked while the staff tries to take care of everything. But since one of his main forms of revenue was about to be cut off, he makes an appearance and instead of letting it die like he originally wanted to do, keeps the forums running by bribing people to post on his site with NX.
So now, he got a new staff to replace us as his patsies, and then just leech of the ads again while everything will get shoddy, and needing fixing. So whenever anyone visits his site, he gets money from the ads that come on the site, but also allow him to stay on top of Google when people are searching for Mabinogi Fansites.
...or what Chock posted. ._.

The only reason anyone sticks around in guru now is to see if they can't spam their way into "active" prizes and mooch some NX from itchy.
He'll run out sooner or later.
