Does the job very well. I have a refurbished one.

You could always get a nicer quality one used. Bamboo's are typically cheap though (as Kitae said) Amazon/Ebay/Craigslist ftw

They used to sell refurbished ones straight from wacom's site, but looking at it now they've changed their options around quite a bit.

Well, either way, new/used/refurb is fine, however if I'm only going to save $10-$20 for a used one, I'd rather just get it new. It's for Christmas and isn't coming out of my pocket, so it doesn't matter. Plus, it'll be one of the only things I get this year since I don't really want anything else.

I saw that, but I still wanted to recommend that tablet if you wouldn't mind spending extra bucks.
I mean, gosh... With christmas coming and all that, I'm not surprised if you've gotten something like this.

I loves it to death.
And yes it does come with a pen stand, interchangeable papers if you ever use it for more than drawing, as well as a few replacement nibs :3
