Thing is I can't get a long enough wire for the ethernet cable. and im not a fan of desktops with wireless connections.
Get another router 8D
They sell custom length cables at some chain store though, I forget which.

Connect your router to every Ethernet outlet.
Takes some work but it actually turns out great since now every room in your house has internet and it also increases your house value a bit :D
Or just put a wireless adapter in your computer. Not hard, solves that problem.

I know I know, my old computer had built in internet. I just don't like it cause it's not as stable as wired.

Then you probably didn't have a very good adapter. I have wireless internet to my Desktop, and I rarely get dropped.

My laptop never drops. And before I hooked up Ethernet connection to every room, I had a wireless adapter for my desktop and it ran just fine.

I have made a decision.
The laptop will be used only for internet and the like.
I'll save up for a desktop by next year or, if I'm lucky, get one for my 19th since that's my senior year.
And my parents always buy a computer for someone in their senior year.

Just get a netbook or something then.
And wow, a computer 2 years in a row. Just ask if they can save the money this year and get something way better next year.
