Ok allow me to explain how unbalanced the exp is for rafting as compared to the shadow missions that give the most exp.
Since many of you do not understand what makes rafting glitching very appealing to people.
There's this mission, I think hardmode shadow cast city, in which soloing efficiently if you have the ability to takes about 20 minutes and each run will net you about 700k exp if you are using x2 exp potions. It's one of the fastest missions out there that you can level from.
You need about 9 million exp to level 70.
If you are going to spam shadow cast city or whatever that mission is, you will take about 13 runs to level 70, which is about 4+ hours of gameplay.
Whereas for rafting glitching, every 3 seconds (time in between thunder) you can get on average 3500-4800 exp from hobgoblins with the x2 exp potions. Taking the average, it's about 84000exp per minute, 5,040,000 per hour and then easily close to 10 million in merely two hours.
Moreover, it's so much easier to thunder glitch, no fear of dying, losing equips. The money factor is an issue, yet not a very big one for certain people. One reason why you see the same people, the level 1000+ is because they can afford to do this with little impact on their resources.
Now, if you are going to say about golem spamming on the hobgoblin area....
Yes, there is a price to pay for playing this way, but I don't understand why they are allowing something like this to continue to happen when the rafting game is not supposed to be played this way. They are also affecting people playing the rafting minigame legitimately.

People glitching and walking in the water never bugged me much since most of them spam wtv they're training in the melee hobos. However this did

Nothing really hurts more than missing the 31 star mark because someone is grinding the river goblins.
I've kind of given up on Nexon ever doing anything about it though.

They don't bother me as long as they stop when I'm coming down the river. 90% of the time they do :/

One of my most important mobs is the last one, where I have run into a glitcher often. One of them stopped and offer to help me with the re-spawn glitch, but the others didn't care at all. I've found another potential source of gold, at least. I don't really need any materials there, but it's really a problem for people that need items from there.

Exp is ehhh, I'll stick to my zombies.
When I river glitched (yes, I've done it), it was for skill training. 5-10 minutes depending on the skill and how much AP I had, and I was out. Can't beat how clumped up the mobs are for training AE skills. Didn't know it was possible to glitch onto the shore though and use melee skills.
Regardless, yeah it's wrong that I've done it but I considered it better time management to rank up a skill in a few minutes due to mob grouping, as opposed to trying to do that manually (WM finish pile anyone?). Just sayin'.

I don't think anyone was disputing that it makes various things easier~

Well, in the non-rainbow event times, the river is pretty empty most of the time anyways. Is it a big problem in other servers?

This.
But the efficiency at rafting is undisputed when you are below total level 1000.
I totally agree its pathetic exp ( because im over 1k total ) if I went there and used a 2x exp pot ide be wasting 100's of thousands of exp i coulda got elsewhere :/ .... like SCC hard solo ^^

Did you all even bother to read my calculations???

Unless anyone can dispute this, it remains the most broken training method that I've known.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was talking about... It was extremely irritating trying to level exploration when that person and certain others were glitching into that land area.

Yogurt, I did read your calculations but you're exaggerating there just a bit, I would say its a little over 4.5m but no more. Anyways, if they nerfed exp from hobs that would prevent me from doing river for explo lvls since I do it just after rb. Every lvl up helps me replenish my MP and if they didn't give exp, that wouldn't happen.
I understand this type of solution but it affects glitchers and people who play legitly.

I agree, but ironically enough, the hobgoblin warrior respawning on raft glitch actually helps even this out. Even if I can't get 31 stars because of river glitchers, I'm still able to kill a couple respawning on my raft and I'll still make it most of the time. =D
