You won't regret moving to an active guild -- the guilt will wear off quickly after some guild runs w/your new guild, and like Arsik said, you have your frieds list. Don't forget, time wasted in an inactive guild = Less GP for your next guild ;)

Ah same thing was happening to me, just talk to the guild leader and say that your gonna move on.
What I did was say that I'm going to go guild hopping and if he ever wants to revive the guild, that i'd be more than happy to join

But no one likes guild hoppers :T_T:
I used to reject anyone known for doing so.

It depends on the guild but anyone trying to form an active, stable guild will not appreciate people joining for a very short while and then leaving and joining a new guild as casually as changing clothes.

What about unintentional guild hoppers? I swear I've had the worst luck with guilds in this game! D:
1st guild: became inactive so I left it
2nd guild: the leader was a total ass that hated me with a passion, so I left
3rd guild: I didn't fit in since day 1. I left it when the leader of my 2nd guild joined this guild (can you believe the luck?) I guess she just wasn't made to be a guild leader. >.>
4th guild: Disbanded.
And now I'm guildless wondering if I'll ever find a good guild, lol

That's not really guild hopping, guild hopping is people who go from guild to guild just because they want to, and not for any special reasons like those. Some make it even worst by taking advantage of guilds, and then leaving, like having a guild run a quest dungeon for them or help them train a skill.

ah....thats unfortunate.
Ya-know you could just leave, right? its his fault for not being active.
And I would love to have you join Vahlse.
That's awful, shameless advertising. Tsk tsk.
On the other hand you could stay in an inactive guild, like me. Not many benefits, besides a name above your character that nobody else has, but if you're not as active that would be ok.

But any guild that I join when doing this, I make sure to ask them if it's ok that I might be leaving in a few weeks.
point is, I'm not trying to take advantage of guilds, its just that losing my first guild was like losing my home...
what I'm looking for is a new home, but like homes, guilds sometimes just aren't for you, so I have to keep searching....
