Also he told me that he tried to change my registry so that he could encrypt it... It didn't work though, does that have anything to do with it?

You disable the ad by deleting AdBalloonExt. You need to do this every time the game patches, because the file will be replaced by the patcher.

Aka: Your friend failed at removing the Ad.
Since Vindictus needs the registry entry to work correctly, I'd say you'd have to go back to that.
I counted your files, and they're all there. Maybe something in the folders were edited, maybe it was the registry.

Alright, so how would I go about "un-editing" the registry?
By the way, he said that deleting it would violate the TOS so he didn't want to do that, apparently he encrypted the AdBalloonExt.
Here is the .reg file that he downloaded as a text file.
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem]
"NtfsDisableEncryption"=dword:00000000
By the way, I have very little experience with editing registries :I

When has Nexon ever given a damn about mods?
Did your friend have any experience?

That is not related to the point. :\
How can I "unchange" the registry?
-

You can't "unchange" the edits done to the registry unless you know EXACTLY what he change in it, or you have a backup of your registry made before he did the changes(Like most people would do, as I have done to disable the stupid windows key), Other than that you will have to reformat to fix the registry, I have no clue if that is the issue but that is all you can do about your registry(Or live with the changes). Also, I don't think they would care all that much about you deleting the adballon file, it will just get replaced by the patcher every time the game patchs anyways.

Is that what he changed it too, if that is the case, I can grab what it is suppose to look like.
