I'm surprised that I didn't see a thread for this one already!

SoreMachi, as the kids are calling it these days, is part of SHAFT's showing this season, alongside Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge. It's based on an original manga by Masakazu Ishiguro. The show itself is a fairly simple slice of life/comedy centered around a maid cafe, Seaside.
The main cast:
Hotori Arashiyama is a somewhat spacey, semi-cloudcuckoolander, and the first employee of Seaside. She has a passion for mysteries and detective stories, and has no idea of what a maid is supposed to act like. She's voiced by Chiaki Omigawa, who I have a major nerdcrush on.
Toshiko Tatsuno is Hotori's friend from high school, who also joins the cafe to be closer to her crush, Sanada. She self identifies as a tsundere. She is enthusiastic about the ideals of a maid, and often frustrated by Seaside's less than dignified atmosphere.
Hiroyuki Sanada is a classmate of Hotori and Tatsun's, and a frequent customer at Seaside. He has a crush on Hotori, but has yet to confess his love to her. uh oh unrequited love triangle.
Other characters include the old granny who owns Seaside, a trio of storekeeper guys who work in the same neighborhood as Seaside, a zealous cop who swears to bring Hotori to justice, some girl with huge teeth who plays ping pong, that blond girl from the OP, and Hotori's little brother, who has his hands full with a violent tsundere girl of his own.
All in all it's a fun, relaxing show. It doesn't really aspire to much, but it has an atmosphere that's really drawing me in. Also the music is pretty good :V
Discuss.
