Why not ban textbooks as well?
Blunt weapons...

If this happened I would sue the school board for infringing on my right to an education.

They hurt a lot if whacked in the face repeatedly too! And they have some pointy edges too, and when people squish your hands inside the textbook!

Everything in the school is a potential weapon. I remember a few years back, people started making paper darts and shooting them with rubber bands. That stuff hurt like crazy if you got hit.

You may not bring backpacks, either, because you can suffocate people with it.
You may not bring clothing for the same reason.
You may not use the bathroom without supervision because you could be making bombs in there.
You may not use eating utensils during lunch because they are potential weapons.
You may not bring food to school because it could be poisoned.

I've been not surprised by anything that happens in the world anymore for the most part. Seriously, do you not even trust the future generation enough to hold a pencil? Teacher's a paranoid douche who probably thinks "Videogames" are brainwashing kids into becoming terrorists or murderers. Well ya know, when I was a kid and watched Godzilla, I wanted to be just like Godzilla, but that ain't happening.
My teacher plays Black Ops.

Hey, less demand for pencils = more trees? :)
Yeah, but this is quite stupid.

You know, that
is offense, whether you say "no offense" or not. It's not :some Americans" that are stupid.
Some people in the world are just generally stupid.

Yeah, haha.
But yeah, there's a little bit of stupid in every culture and country. :D

Wait, doesn't it say that pencils would be provided? I kind of tl;dr'd it, but even so, I can kill someone with any pencil, not just my own.

She hasn't banned markers yet.
Unless there's some weird chemical excuse for it. Seems likely.
