I was able to get from 1-20 in a single day, yet it's taken me nearly a week from there just to hit 25. Yes, I know it's supposed to take you longer to level the further you get into the game, but the discrepancy in the amount of time it takes to go up just one level seems completely disproportionate, spiking suddenly right around level 19.
It's getting pretty bad now because I'm leveling so slowly that I can't unlock new Ainle instances quickly enough, I don't have enough quests at any given time to do to get XP in the first place, and I'm forced to redo instances for meager amounts of XP so often that I'm running out of tokens well before I can even hit another level.
I've also noticed lately that part of what's contributing to the problem is that a lot of quests are no longer just one-step quests by themselves, but massive quests that take multiple steps to complete. Where before it was just one mission required to complete a quest, it's now like 4 or 5 (example: A Job for Shayla is three individual quests in one chain, whereas Treasure Hunter is four steps in a SINGLE quest). It's annoying as hell, simply because it's impossible to tell how many steps are needed to complete a quest before it's actually completed.
What's even worse is that sometimes if you have multiple quests that need different drops from a single instance, you need to do that instance multiple times because it only drops one quest item each time. I've done Brynn's Research so many times I dream about it in my sleep. -_-; One Destruction Potion, three Restoration Potions, and one Golden Potion Bottle equals FIVE runs for some God-awful reason.
So is this completely normal, or am I missing out on something I should be doing? Because I'm really starting to feel burnt out rerunning the same content with nothing new to do at all, and it seems to scream of bad/inconsistent/lazy game design. Yes, I know MMO's are naturally grindy, but the grind is getting pretty unbearable, especially factoring in the LIMIT to how much you can grind. Please tell me there's something I'm missing. I think my brain's gonna melt.

Well, a good way to reduce the number of times you have to redo a mission for XP is to always solo and pick the Oath with the greatest XP bonus.
Counterattack Macha solo gave me a ton of XP back when I was in the 20s.

What I've been doing instead is spamming Dethrone the White Tyrant with Season of Macha. It's a good 17k XP each run. It still runs down my tokens really, REALLY quickly though, and I barely have enough to make it to the next level before running out.
I think I'm gonna go cry. T^T

Its not like the level cap is over 200 like certain mmos.

Just solo as much missions as you can. Experience goes pretty fast, and the level cap is kind of low.

The discrepancy between leveling speeds for 1-20 and 20-25 is likely attributed to the fact that you have a ton of quests in the early levels, and the fact that it requires much less exp to level so the combat experience gained is actually noticeable. When you get higher, the number of quests you can hand in for experience dwindles, and the exp you need increases dramatically, causing you to need to run certain battles more often.
One way of alleviating this is, as others said, to solo as much as possible, and to always pick the highest exp oaths. It's also a good idea to try and kill every single enemy in each battle.

In all honesty, I found the mid-20's the absolute slowest. 1-10 happened practically by accident, 10-20 with almost no effort, but from about 22-29 the grind was insane. After you hit 30/31 though, it lets up a bit. At least for a while.

20 range is slow yes. 30 range speeds up and i feel like its even faster now with the new boat. that could just be because im like yay not grinding bp for exp all day! lol
