This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The very last time I checked, blogger (blogspot) doesn't allow backups.
In terms of ease of use, blogger is good, however, it does not offer the flexibility and complexity that wordpress has to offer.
My recommendation is wordpress since I find that backups are very important if you are going to put valuable personal stuff like your artwork showcases or writings on it. If you aren't that technical and don't mind reposting your story again if you decide to switch to another blogging platform, then blogger is fine.

Blogger is simpler in that you don't need any background knowledge to use. Everything clicks in easier, so that any user who has never even seen the internet before could pick it up. Its also very organized and user friendly. Mostly, its free.
Wordpress on the other hand will require a fair amount of CSS and PHP to use. It also won't host FOR you, you'll have to find your own domain. So the two services are a little different.
Blogger provides the site, the blog, and everything. All YOU have to do is type away.
Wordpress provides the engine that runs your website. The theme needs to be downloaded separately, you need a host, etc etc. Its still easier than building a website from scratch, since most of the major work is already done.
Wordpress offers much more customization and power than blogger. Many websites you visit use wordpress but you wouldn't even know it (onemanga, steparu).
So my final vote goes to wordpress. Its better.

Seems like I'm not the only person who picked Wordpress just to get started with the story already xD.
