I'm currently highly dissatisfied with my current internet situation. I've been trying to convince my mom to get some new provider. Finally, a recent drama between my mom and the company left us stranded without internet for more than a week, and not not for the first time.
Anyway, this has finally convinced m mom to change providers. So, my question is: Should we sign up with cable internet, or satellite internet?
Before my internet was shut off, I was the only one of a few others on my friends list who could host parties, and if I lose that, then it's solo solo solo.

I think we use cable internet, and I can't really host games, but can download some stuff at 2.5 Gb/s.
(reason I can't host is computer)

You sure that's cable?
Cable is much better than satellite... sattelite is for people in the middle of nowhere or as a backup uplink for critical web services that have to be up even if land lines explode. With satelite if there's a storm, snow, clouds with too much static in them... no connection (or very poor).

Cable works better, and if you port forward you can host pretty well.

Satellite sucks. From personal experience.
I'd definitely go with cable.

Cable.
Because satellite TVs disconnect when it's windy, rainy, or snowy.
Edit: I know. Internet. But. :T_T:
