But they can prevent that from happening in TF2. Why would it be impossible to stop in another Source Engine game?

It's not impossible, it's just that they don't really have the manpower to keep on top of the modders while still maintaining the game. Not to mention people will still buy the armor for stats and stuff.

The thing is though, Valve wants people to mod it's just that they have the option of not letting people use mods for server owners. The only reason they have this option is so that people can't use any mods that would cheat. Such mods would be sound change so such that Spies decloaking will be louder and yell "I'M RIGHT BEHIND YOU"! or whatever message they downloaded. Other mods will show the entire hitbox of the character and show where exactly counts as HS for sniper or HS for huntsman and the backstab area or backburner area.
For the most part though modding is to further increase the enjoyment of the community and Valve knows that, that's why they promote modding as one of their companies main rules. Like I said, I don't care if we can't use the nude mod but at least let us mod for other things like maybe better outfits or whatever.

I can't believe what I'm hearing. Modding underwear is like illegally downloading a movie. Sure, no one can stop you from doing it, but please don't JUSTIFY it WHILE bashing the company.
You can still complain about bots and stuff, but you can't blame them for talking to you. I prefer this over them flat out ignoring you and all of your tickets (old school Maple, anyone?).
Also, they are allowed to stop modding because you signed a Terms and Conditions when you tried to play the game. I guarantee if you try and complain to valve that Nexon/devCat is stopping you from modding they're just going to laugh in your face.
If you remove one source of revenue (expiring undies), they're going to have to get their money from some place else. This could mean market licenses or cash shop weapons. I'm not saying that I like expiring underwear, but it's definitely better than the alternatives.

Sorry to burst your bubble
But evidence in game points that licenses are already on their way
Cash shop weapons I cant say would hit it too big unless they were resonable priced or very very strong
Most people would buy undies if their perma
Since they enjoy the looks
There a difference between undies for looks and undies for stats

Oh yeah I know why Valve does it how they do. What I'm saying is that I bet Nexon is 100% against ANY form of modding, so I'm surprised they haven't enforced something involving it. Its not something they need to keep up with, I believe. Its more that it just checks you are using the exact original files that came with the game, and doesn't let you play if you aren't. I'm assuming they will implement this at some point if modding gets at all popular.

Most people will buy undies anyway.
As much as I'd like perma under-armor, it isn't really a big deal to me. I don't mind paying $4-5 a month so that it doesn't stick out through my clothes, but it isn't like I wear my armor outside of runs anyway, and who cares what I look like when all I'm doing is kicking ass?
Hell, I think she's pretty sexy just like this.

I'm not sure the people here who are complaining about mod blocking are understanding a very simple point...Vindictus is FREE. The game you are comparing it to (TF2) is NOT free, thus Valve gets their money. Valve also encourages modding, because that's how they get all of their content (polycount anyone?), and in fact nearly every one of their successful games was a mod.
While I think the price of underwear is a bit steep for 30 days, I do not think that modding should be allowed in this game. The game already panders to pervs enough, I really don't need to see nude mods and other stupidity people come up with. Not to mention this will directly lead to a more invasive CS, and that's far worse than taking someone's option to get their jollies off to their character away.

Take a look at your equips and similar
It still say mailable(permit waved)
It would point to better more valuable items needing permits

Nobody was comparing to TF2 while saying Nexon shouldn't block modding. I personally believe they should block modding.

I'm fairly certain that's got more to do with equip binding w. enchanting/enhancing
If you buy an equip off the market you can't resell it. At least that's what I always interpreted the permit to mean.
Anyone else know of CS trading permits in KR or the future?

:P Wow this has gotten off-topic by a lot. I don't think they'll be adding permanent undies in for a while, though if they did.. I'd be the first to start buying all of them. Different armors need different undies~

And if they're adding perma undies, we're all going to end up paying a good $10-15 for them.
