They're worth exactly 1 dollar in sale tag price.
You try finding better toys for a dollar.
The toys weren't that epic when I was little. It was pretty much Mattel - Hot Wheels and Barbie all the time, although I did love playing with Hot Wheels.
I still really cared more about to food though. That, and the games on the Happy Meal box.
Food = Life

When was "when I was little"?
The pokemon toys were from literally 10 or so years ago. And I remember them giving out Mario figurines 9 years ago, I just couldn't find pictures (they were awesome).
15 years ago they always gave out the most awesome squirt guns.
And back then, the toys were only 45 cents.

Screw you...
And burger king has a 7 inch tall iron man figurine right now.
Where have I been?!@_@
Though, the toys I remember were all like, this arm bends, and that leg bends, and this winds up, and it gets very old very quickly. I Remember a george of the jungle toy in specific, there was a wind up jaguar, and it would trounce across the surface you put it on, and then fall over...
It would be on the carpet of our tahoe in 5 minutes.

The best 'toy' I ever got was from a burger king kids meal.
It was a jurassic park watch, with an iridescent velociraptor eye for the face.
And even still it didn't work for long, and I lost it somewhere ages ago, but damn...
;-; I loved that watch.

I always thought kids just buy Happy Meal for the toys, and not for the food, meaning they often don't eat all of it.

10 years ago I was 10 years old.
Happy Meals did not satisfy me at that age, I was on to the real menu.
Although I do remember the watches. Lots of watches, as if kids really needed to know what time it was.

Hmm, same age as me then.
I didn't buy the happy meals but I sure as hell always got my 45 cents extra.

I remember having to return the pokeballs from burger king, because they caused some kind of health hazard....
I also remember that every single one I returned netted me a free order of fries 8D

Man, I used to be all in favor of laws that make things ~healthier~, but now they piss me off. Here's the thing. It is the parents responsibility to ensure their kids are eating healthy and it is nobody's business if they want to give their kids a happy meal once in a while (though I will say it's fine to make exceptions in extreme cases.) We need to be advocating consumer awareness, educating consumers and helping them make good choices on their own, not outright banning everything that's bad for you. Grr >(
