I dont eat junk food or soda.
I drink water, my meat consumption is almost entirely chicken breast, my diet consists of vegetables (steamed or raw depending on which), rice and wheat bread (for my servings of grain), milk, and random fruits.
I've been jogging 20 minutes every other day, and doing sit ups, push ups, squats, leg exercises, and I'm still overweight and haven't lost a single pound.
You people are very lucky with your metabolism.
Did you make sure that you're not eating white rice? My dad replaced it with wild rice and it really helped him lose weight. 20 minutes of jogging simply isn't enough. I know you have time commitments elsewhere, but you should try to jog moderately hard for an hour, without stopping. Sit ups, push ups, and the like are nice, but they don't really help much.

You might not lose weight, but you might be building muscle with some of those exercises.
20 minutes every other day doesn't seem like enough though. I used to jog an hour every morning before school all through freshman year and didn't lose a single pound, so I guess that shows that little exercise won't go too far.

Don't mess with my orange soda :D.
During the summer I lose weight without any exercise easily. Mostly because I sleep late and wake up late so I eat one meal. (I forget to eat :/)

I jog every morning for about 45mins - an hour, and I normally take walks in the afternoon and halfjob/halfwalk in the evening.
I'll admit I use to be overweight, my family was in debt from the expensive food (which is sad that America is fat yet they charge you out the ass for healthy foods) they bought to help me lose weight, I lost it after time and I've been trying my hardest to keep it off.
To lose weigh to have to work hard, really hard, extremely hard. I was in a facility and we would play kickball every single day from an hour and a half - 2 hours and I lost 6-7lbs a week with a good diet. Sure by the time it was shower time I was sweaty musty and grimmey but it was worth it after that nice warm shower <3. It IS possible to lose weight, it's just easier to gain it back if you're not careful. ):

College really effed me up. I need to get back on track. This would be so much easier if I wasn't gone anywhere from 11 to 16 hours (away from home). I seriously need to live closer to school.

Forgetting to eat is actually horrible.
Always have a breakfast, that's your morning energy right there.
As for lunch and dinner, some people say never to eat such a heavy dinner, but eh. FOOD SO GOOD YO.
And that 3 meal per day thing is actually old-school. You should have at least 5 meals per days I read now: 2 snack-ish meals, 3 decent meals. Aka, snacks are good! They keep us from getting too hungry and eating too much.

When I transitioned from the regular, American food(burgers and fries and the like) to leftover Chinese Food my dad makes from dinner to bring for lunch at school, I actually started to lose some weight(About 3 pounds, but it's something!). Still got a lot of body fat from all the sweets I eat though. And they all head to the thighs. Which is the last place your body will lose fat in. -.-"

The main problem i see is that parents are either very 'i dont care' and get all the good tasting foods that are bad for you.
as-well as Metabolism. I work as a Assistant Fitness Trainer, so most of the stuff listed in the first post makes sense.
Tip:
You know how people like putting butter/ margerine on your toast? Aswell as with your gam and peanut butter and your bologne! Well, id honeslty say lower your intake on it to little to none, as much as you think it doesnt add much being such a low amount, that low amount of butter is probally worth 5-10 Minutes of treadmill to work off!
Tip 2:
Dont think you can treadmill daily and lose a pound a day on the treadmill, thinking's the treadmill is easy, as it is possible, it would be very tiring and overstress on your legs and lower Muscles. Give them a break!
3500 Calories = 1 Pound
Tip 3:
You can never have too much Cardio! It kind of contradicts my tip 2, however, over periods of time, spend 10-30 minutes every few hours is fine. If you feel like you can do more excersize, do it, if you feel dehydrated, drink water.
Tip 4: Its best to at least have 20 minutes of your heart beating fast for your body to give the most oxygen and blood towards your muscles and all those good things!
Tip 5: You should be drinking Several Bottles of Water (Approx 8-10 bottles a day!)
Sorry if i possibly repeated the first post in any way! I work as an assistant trainer at a fitness centre, and im learning from my supervisor.

Only if you feel like you are thirsty enough to drink that much though. A person doesn't have to force down water to meet a daily intake goal. If I drank 8-10 bottles of water a day I would have to be forcing it down.

8 to 10 bottles of water a day?
I'm sorry but my stomach isn't even big enough to hold that much water.
I could live off maybe one or two glasses a day. I drink a lot more now but 8 to 10 bottles is absolutely ridiculous.

When I exercise, I get really thirsty. 8 bottles of water isn't at all surprising, for me at least.

I can drink that much in a day, and I'm not even that large. 8 bottles isn't ridiculous, especially if you plan on working out to lose weight.

I run at least an hour a day (minimum) and 8-10 bottles is WAAAYYYYY too much for me drink in a day, even if I sprinted most of the time. Hell, I'd be lucky if I can even finish 2 a day. You guys must be crazy or something
