I didn't yet, but that "rank up" button will always be there to haunt me...
I hear all the time that crits are BAD BAD BAD. Probably, but lets say if an evie DOES have a high rank Crit already, (and there are no skill resets), s/he can only hope and wait that devcat will change this mechanic?

Invisible Loom is pretty amazing once you get Bloody Thread and a regular critical hit activating prevents you from draining (not to mention the target doesn't take the magical dmg portion). So all in all, regular crit is bad for scythes. The damage increased with regular critical hit isn't even that noticeable due to the low percentile of the physical dmg portion of the smash. This makes you less effective at clearing rooms but I don't see how it can massively screw you over (but they are talking about later boats anyways, so I wouldn't know).
tl;dr: Yes.

Critical Hit is beneficial for bosses. It won't knock the boss flying and has a higher chance of knockdown.

As far as I´ve seen, the regular critical hits from the smash still lets you drain and use bloody thread. Which makes it sooo pretty. I think I got addicted to bloody thread.

Regular - not the ones from the skill?

Right, forgot about the knockdown rate increase from it x.x

I've hit enemies, sent them flying without killing them, which I assume was a critical hit (I have Rank E), and still was able to do Bloody Thread.

I would say get crit. Since LLLR crit doesn´t throw and LLLLR crit still enables bloody thread. Only exception would be LLR, but I don´t really spam that anymore like I used to.

Yeah I checked, you can still drain after crit, my bad. Still sucks to have your main magic dmg portion miss though.

So Willpower doesn't increase crit chance for Evie, right? Tooltip in character stats screen says "For Fiona and Lann" specifically. Is it correct?

If it flies with the crit, it dies with the thread. So might as well maximize my on boss damage.

Thread alone isn't powerful enough to kill stronger trash mobs found in later boats apparently.

the Bloody Thread already can't kill the Giant Hammer trash mobs. So we can already see the bad side effects of crit happening. The tooltip might be wrong about WIL only affecting Fiona and Lann attacks. I'm pretty sure it affects the physical portion of Evy's scythe attacks as well. Otherwise having rF Critical hit would only give Evy the base chance of critting. Maybe it's time someone with rF critical hits should try doing a trial of 1000 smashes and see how many of them crit >_>
