...in the future, stamina cost of range and melee skills depended on the speed of the weapon you were using?
Using r1 smash as an example:
- a fast speed type weapon like a dagger would put a .6 multiplier. This would mean it would cost 6 stamina to use smash.
- a normal type would be .8, slow would be 1 and very slow would be 1.2
- the same thing would be applied to range
Would it change the way you pick weapons? I just thought of this because I find it strange how smashing with a 2 hander would be as strenuous as smashing with a dagger.

I'd probably like it a lot, since the only melee weapons I use are slow or fast, and the only Stamina drainer that I use(AR) benefits a crapton from fast weapons :U

I only use slow and normal weapons, so it wouldn't bother me. XD
I'd like adding a bit more logic to Mabi.

Well a fast weapon could cost more stam couldn't it? The faster you move the more energy you use. But then for slower weapons it means its bigger so it takes more to use it. I guess it even itself out which is why it's all equal stam. Thats IMO :v

The faster you move meaning the more times you use a skill. If its faster that means that it is easier to use so thats where we get the whole less-stam-use-for-smaller-weapons thing.
It would fit with the fact that giant two handed axes take a lot of stamina to even swing.

Battle Swords already have an increased stamina cost actually.

That means nothing for Cylinders, since theyre practically all the same speed.

I always use Very Slow weapons, but I'd be fine with it.

I would probably have to buy more Stam pots, but I'm really not sure.
It probably wouldn't bother me at all.

Lol, I'm surprised no one mentioned anything like how this somewhat makes 2 handed weapons use a bit more stamina; with every 10 smashes, you'd exert enough stamina for another one.
Also, what if you could control how much stamina you'd use up? While the multipliers are for normal damage, increasing or decreasing the stamina multiplier would change the amount of damage done.
Personally, I'd crank up the stamina useage for something like smash and lower the useage for something like windmill or even adjust it so I could do one hit kos with mobs that I almost one hit with.

Just give us more stamina increasing skills, I demand MOAR, I want to have 600 stamina, not some 300s.

Moving fast does not always require a lot of energy.
Take a large, heavy pole, and swing it around in a circle, whilst it may be effective as an attack it is tiring.
Take a light, strong metal pole, apply the same force, and you go faster. Because it is light, it requires less strain to apply the same amount of strength.
I really hope that made sense, at least it did to me.

I'd actually really like this. It's logical and would add more thought to weapon choices and builds.
