I think I messed up my mabi character look

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Premium rebirth, just because it comes with the Licori robe (our server got it too, besides TW).
I decided to change my look but when I first looked at it I got really depressed.
It's my third time changing looks. The first two times I was really happy for the change and now it's so unexpected to get this...

I'm not sure if it's because I'm attached to my old look. I only dislike how undetailed the old hair was.

If anyone is thinking what hairstyle, it's Effie's hairstyle. It didn't look so bad on the selection, but I find the hairband odd when I saw the new look in the game itself.

I had another choice of hairstyle, and also hair color, but....because of some attachment to the old look, I chose the current one.

Instead of sad eyes when casting spells, I get two black thick lines as eyes.

The only good thing is that earrings actually look good with the new hair.

I'll get a pic of before and after but not now, because I need my rest.
Have been mad leveling because of need of AP.

I've never had a set look before, I always changed one after another, because the elf selection really sucks.
But I think I'm getting attached to my current look, it's more human than anything else, and it looks good with my lava cat hood on, unlike some other eyes I've had before.

Some people said it was still ok, while some were very honest and said it looks....unstylish. (I don't blame them for that, I think that was my reaction.)
Particularly the hair. I want to change the eyes as well.

I wanted to dye the robe to blue but the dyes keep giving me pink...and since it matches with the panda headband I just decided to keep it that way. The new look really looks stupid with the panda headband....

Whatever the case I will have to stick to this look for another 3 weeks. I can afford another premium rebirth and I don't mind paying that little extra just to get a licori robe again.

I like my old look but I don't really like it for some reasons as well...mostly because it looks kind of weird with hats on.

I'm thinking of changing to this hairstyle and eyes but I'm really undecided on the hair color since I'm also quite attached to emain macha green.

Emain macha green hair looks okay but I don't think it matches with the eye color.

Because I'm really unhappy with the current look and if possible I want to keep the next one for a really long time.

I also feel the the green hair is a bit weird, but it's quite special since most people don't pick that hair colour. I'll go with silver hair next round.

It's weird but I always feel that the human selection is terrible. Elves look so much better with certain looks.

Also, what is pure eyes? Is it the one from the basic look set?

It's called the "Serious Look" emote.

When you're casting spells and conversing with NPC in particular RP scenes, your character would use the "Serious Look" emote.

In particular, one of the eye style that would invoke the "-_-" look, that is...

Uh.. The one that I'm currently using.

To me the lines look awkward with certain actions. I really do like the eyestyle though, it's sweet looking if not for that problem.

The human doll eyes or whatever it's called...thank goodness it does not come with the "-_-" look. I think I might go with that.

There is a deeper reason why I dislike the -_- look anyway...a number of players tend to use "- -" in their speeches which I really dislike...

Also...your hairstyle was my old hairstyle XD I love that hair. It's nice with certain outfits like yours. It's just that I want something else for a change after having that hairstyle for so long.

Cool eyes: No love for it
Precocious eyes: Too fierce for my liking

Sorry I'm kind of picky...I'm going for something unique and calm looking...but after a while you'll see all sorts of looks on people that it doesn't really matter anymore...
