I have a few questions for those that play / know about the Korean version. In return, you get to seem ADVANCED and KNOWLEDGEABLE compared to me. Perhaps others will have questions as well!
1) Has there been any effort made to improve the social side of this game? Currently, I just feel very disconnected from everyone while playing. Fishing is the ONE time where everyone is hanging out, talking and having fun with what little resources they have to have fun with (betting gold on the rolling of the dice, etc). But fishing gets boring.
Has there been ANYTHING added to promote socializing? Is there ANYTHING else like fishing?
I saw that they promoted the "social" aspect of cooking... but to me it looks like you'd give someone food and that's it.
2) Are there any mobs in the new dungeons that could actually incap someone by catching them off guard? This would obviously never happen in the American version in its current state... is there any of this in the Korean high-level dungeons?

From what I've read, people talk about how in boat 5+ the trash mobs become a pain to deal with.

Not that I play the Korean version, but the game is social enough if you make an effort to do two things:
1) Not join speed runs of raids
2) Say hello when you join a boat
Sure, it's nothing like PvP, minigames, go go ball, crafting vanity items for the hell of it... but there's a lot of socializing to be had if you allow yourself a moment to just chill in town. There's always guilds... not that they're doing much with that aspect.
I'll ask my friend in Korea how they feel about the subject though.

D: Huh? Socialism in this game.. is there any? xD lol.
I think the only time I ever socialize with PUGs is when they force themselves into the conversations (which is ok, as long as they do it properly). Most the time my PUGs have been silent as heck, which is why I enjoy running with friends more. Grab a guild that you like and surround yourself with chatty people. :) Lotsa socialization there.
Later on, maybe the ranged? I know that the archers in the fourth boat do more damage (a high crit can actually take all the shields off an Evy).. so later on, they might be able to kick butt. D: Maybe.
