As long as it's safe and works, I think it's fine. For some odd reason, I see this being sold really cheap.
Genetically-modified organisms and modified/processed ingredients are pretty bad because of factors that the creators can't really control. This might be different if it works right, considering food nanotechnology.
If they can tofu taste like fried chicken though... that'd be creepy.

Its certainly better than the chinese roundabout way of doing things. They can make "mushrooms" out of some strange powders, liquids, and wooden chopsticks. Or eggs out of wax. All of which is harmful to the body but they people can't really tell the difference.

I think the problem isn't the fish itself but the effects it may have on humans. It's already pretty obvious the human growth hormone from cows and such are making our population bigger already.

See the main difference here is that people are putting in growth hormones are from modifications to cows that already exist.
The fish on the other hand are genetically changed to be bigger. From what experiments they've done so far, there hasn't been a single thing in the fish that could have a negative effect on the human body. They're still looking into this though.

This research is trying to make our food cheaper to make and more healthy so I don't see the problem of these foods as they're going to have to go through a ton of safety procedures before Americans even consider eating them.

This sorta thing intrigues me and makes me afraid. Food we now consume, at least hear in America has been tapered with so much by genetically altering livestock and produce. There is a trend that I began to notice, not only are Americans in general are getting heavier the children are developing(maturing) at a faster rate, I have noticed this more in girls for obvious reasons. While trying to make food last longer and cheaper to produce they are starting to have some serious aftereffects. I do not know if any research has been done about this yet or not.
Not to blame obesity on food but most processed foods have all kinds of chemicals in them for ether preservation, taste and color. All the chemicals can not be good for anyone. Most food has Corn syrup which is not natural and is a big problem in American foods, this type of sugar is not processed well by the human body and makes the body create more fat in turn. The idea of using nanotechnology in food is very concerning to me especially sense i recently watched
Metropia which is about the use of nanotechnology to control people, although highly unlikely the movie shows concern over the use of nanotechnology being used as a manipulative tool.

Yeah but cross breeding isn't going to put fish genes into a tomato. The only reason things can cross breed is because they are of the same species.
